There are a fair amount of times at work when I encounter a problem that confuses me. One of the first things that I do is search the internet to see if anyone has run into this problem before. Most of the time, no one has. In the end I figure out the problem on my own and go on my way.
After a while I started thinking about this. What if other people have run into the same problems before, and they are just too lazy to post what they did online? Could I help other people out by writing about these problems on some sort of weblog?
So I’m thinking of creating something like tech.smackiethefrog.com. And then whenever I run into a weird problem at work, I’ll write about it there. Then other people, when they run into the same problem, will have a resource.
Any thoughts on this? I realize that most of you are probably like “I don’t care. I don’t fix computers.” But if something like this existed in your chosen field, would you use it? Help a brotha out.

I don’t fix computers or program or anything, but I know that my fiance does and he typically does the same thing so I would definitely suggest trying that.
I don’t post my findings much either and I do feel somewhat bad about that. I find a lot of answers on the net that others have bothered with. What I’ve been trying to do lately is post more on forums. For instance, I’ve picked 2 core technologies that I work with every day and started posting on their forums. If you started something where I could sumbit, I would.
I post on forums too, but there are so many of them I can sometimes never find my own answers so I think it’s a great idea you should definitely do it.
