There are about 10 departments here at Wash U that I support, computer-wise. I like all of them to varying degrees. Of course by that I mean that there are some I really don’t like, and others that I really like a whole bunch. (I’ll avoid naming names because God forbid someone google and found out that I hate their department and wish they would fall into a flaming ditch.)
I have one department that is far and away my favorite, though. The Museum of Art, formerly the Gallery of Art. Why are they my favorite? Well, they are hilarious, for one. And pretty laid back, because lets be honest, they pretty much only hang up art on the walls. But really they are my favorite because in the past 2 days they have told me that I’m their favorite Univeristy employee, and that they are going to serenade me with love songs whenever I come down from now on.
So if you are in the Wash U area, you should go by and look at the art. I’m not sure that they always get very many visitors, but they deserve to have a ton of people look at their pretty pictures.
And they love me, and that is reason enough to go.
