Today was the day that John Lennon was shot 26 years ago. I’ve walked by the Dakota, the building where he was murdered, many times, and every time it is sad. I’ve never really understood the people who stand and gawk and take pictures. That’s too gruesome, especially when right across the street is Strawberry Fields.
But anyway, to honor him I’m listening to a radio station that is playing easy listening covers of Beatles songs all day. It is pretty God awful, as you would expect.
Right now it is some cheesy jazz version of “Day Tripper”. It just didn’t need to happen.
