It has been too cold to write lately. This morning, on the way to work, it was 12 degrees out.
But it was certainly too cold yesterday for a picnic and a trip to the zoo. Right? Well no. Yesterday was the annual Mr. Luther King day picnic, where we go out to Lone Elk Park and cook hot dogs on a twig fire. This was not the worst one yet. We were actually able to start a fire, after we got the ice scraped off of the bbq pit.
The zoo ended up being a lot of fun. I think that the winter is a much better time than the summer. Most of the animals were out, and there were absolutely no crowds. Oh, and free hot chocolate.
So in review – cold work: bad, cold picnic: okay, cold zoo: good.
