Fish Tank

Does anyone know why a fish tank would turn green and then red and get a scuzzy foam of bubbles across the top?

Also, is that bad?

Sounds like too many algae, too much nitrate. Do the fish get too much food perhaps? It’s about finding a bio equilibrium. Try to put some algae eating water snails in (hte littel ones). And try to find out how much food the fish really need.

It’s bad if you don’t do anything.

    And check the filter system.
Or install one :-) (based on active carbon filters).
