Way back in 1998-2002 or so, I watched this show called “The Screen Savers” all the time. It was an hour long show about computers and tech and all things geeky. The best part was that it wasn’t watered down at all. It was the place to go to keep up on current tech news. Something like this doesn’t exist on TV anymore. It has been replaced by podcasts and things like that, but to me, those just aren’t the same.
Anyway, I figured that those original episodes were lost forever, saved only in some vault somewhere. But then I found a bunch of old episodes on youtube. http://youtube.com/profile?user=ZDTVMultimedia
I’m thrilled that I found this, and it is hilarious to go back and watch all these old tech shows. It’s also sad, though, because it is such a reminder of how things change.

What do you mean “way back”??? It just gets worse buddy. I just posted a video on youtube to celebrate Moosie’s birthday yesterday. He was born way back in 2003.
The podcasts by the former screen savers guys are pretty good, and better IMHO than TV since I can listen to them on my commute and while I work out at the gym. If you really want to go “way back” you should watch or read anything regarding video games from the late 80′s/early 90′s. Check out the clothes/accents on these guys: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOZ7W94XeeE.
