I get really nervous whenever I have to use a fax machine. I don’t know what it is, but I don’t trust them. They seem like witchcraft technology. You put paper in a phone line and then paper comes out the other end? That doesn’t make any sense! And if this really does work, why won’t someone fax me a pizza?
The problem, of course, is that even though fear of fax machines is well documented in the latest version of the DSM, there really isn’t anything you can do about it. And right now, since I’m in the process of buying a house, it appears that I am going to have to actually use fax machines. And that is just a horrible, terrifying thought.
In other news, however, I did buy a house.

congratulations! And if you think fax machines are scary, wait until you close on your house, or see your first amortization schedule.
I have a fear of the paper shredder. I think if I were to buy one however, that it would become a quick obsession… must shred paper….wonder if it would shred [fill in te blank]…
