I just don’t like her. I have no reason really except she rubs me the wrong way. I was reading her answers to disability-related questions the other day, and her answers looked like they were plagerized from the book of “What I think I should say but don’t really think.” Idunno. I just think it’s funny that everyone in my family (well you guys probably don’t) thinks I am a republican because the way I live is so conservative. But apparently my political views are rather liberal. Must be that damn liberal arts education!
Most of the people who want to be president are NOT the kind who should be president. The campaign process grinds up decent people. The founders intended the electoral college to be used to have people select the best and brightest to be electors and let them chose a president. What has evolved is a zoo. The president does not have to be a saint, in fact in order to deal with the people he must deal with, he has to be a little devious. But he must be fundamentally decent, and sadly our culture does not exalt decency. There is adulation for bimbos because of their bad behavior instead of admiration for good honest people doing their best. It is like the fall of the Roman Empire.
