New Songs

I absolutely love the song “Hold Me Now” by the Thompson Twins. AB-SO-FRICKIN-LUTELY LOVE it. I will listen to it over and over and over and over. It is just that damn good.

But even a song that damn good gets old. So if any readers out there know of songs that are exactly like “Hold Me Now” by the Thompson Twins in terms of awesomeness, sound, and everything, please let me know. The prize is… 5 dollars.

Deadbeat Club, the B52s. Harmonies are nice and melty.

Nobody’s Diary, by Yaz. In fact, try the entire album, Upstairs at Eric’s.

And as an extra special bellydance cover bonus:

I Put a Spell on You, by Natacha Atlas. This was a popular song back in the day. I don’t particularly care for this [dance] interpretation; there was a local gal who SMOKED this song… This chick merely pokes it with a stick. A soulless and boring, though softly undulating, stick.

And coz I feel like it, the Goonies in 3:35:

Happy Birthday Nate! Passing the quarter century mark and becoming a home owner…what a year. Hope the next one finds the house finished with no new surprises.
