My family has finally decided on summer vacation. After months and months of arguing and bickering, we came to a conclusion. And that conclusion, as you might have guessed from the title of the post, is Puerto Rico. It is actually a little more complicated than that. On a Friday in July everyone besides me is going to go to Chicago, where they will see a Yes concert, watch a Chicago Fire game, and basically just bum around in Chicago. I will be staying in St. Louis because thanks to Kelly’s amazing parents, I have tickets to the NASCAR race that Saturday. Then on Sunday they are flying out of Chicago, I’m flying out of St. Louis, and we’re meeting up in Atlanta, where we will then continue on to San Juan.
I am super, super excited about this whole thing. I was hoping to go to Disney World, as always, but if I can’t go there, then I can’t think of a better place. To me, Puerto Rico seems like the best of both worlds. It is going to be like a foreign country in some ways, but it is still the US, and they have Sams Clubs. And there is no exchange rate. And you don’t need a passport. And I’m pretty sure my cell phone will just work.
So has anyone out there been to Puerto Rico? Any advice on fun things to do? Things to avoid?
