Happy Birthday, Mom.
Edit: It has come to my attention that SOME people think that this post was lame. Well I sat this morning for like 30 minutes staring at the screen trying to think of something clever or witty to say, or moving, or heartwarming. And I couldn’t come up with anything because I felt like it would be trite or trivial or something.
But anyway, since it has been called my attention, I should point out that my mom is obviously the best mom ever. And clearly I am the best son because I came back.

We are singularly blessed as a family to have you in it. You are a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend. I taught you all I knew, and you took it from there and magnified it. A very, very HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Dude, that’s kind of a lame birthday post.

Well, it’s no trip to New York. But it’ll suffice.
