Smackie the Frog

I’m leaving Friday to visit California again. I’m really excited, but I’m not really sure what I’m going to do. Last time I was out there, I’m pretty sure that I did everything there is to do. We went to the computer history museum. We went to the airplane museum. We ate Indian food. So I guess that is pretty much it. Maybe we can play a bunch of board games or something.

On a related, and very nerdy note, when I was planning my trip out there, I could have flown direct from St. Louis. However, that was on a plane that I have flown many times in my life. So instead I looked around, and I found that I could fly through Chicago, which adds some time to the flight, but I get to fly from Chicago to San Francisco on a 747, which is an airplane that I have never flown on. And it is an iconic one at that, so the fact that I haven’t flown on one is unacceptable.

So yeah. I feel like kind of a nerd for going out of my way to fly on a specific airplane, but who cares? I’m really looking forward to it. And the trip as a whole.
