I was bored the other night, and looking for something to cook. So I looked in my fridge, and then I looked in my freezer, and saw 2 things. Chicken and lemonade. A decided to combine them with some garlic and other stuffs to see what I could get.
Well I’m here to tell you that what you get is really, really nasty. Like… imagine eating a piece of chicken soaked in lemonade. That doesn’t really sound very good, does it? You guys all probably know that instinctively. I had to go ahead and try it myself.
I will say, in my defense, that I looked it up, and lemonade is actually a real ingredient to use in a marinade for chicken. But you have to use it with soy sauce and go for an Asian kick, instead of what I did, which was to go for an Italian kick. In the end, the sweetness was just way too overpowering without something to counteract it.
So there you go. Now you are all saved from pouring a bunch of lemonade over some perfectly good chicken. I have done my good deed for the day.
